Setting up the device

The front desk runs as a separate app at frontdesk.trainone.app. It sits at the counter, in a public place — hence rules that differ from the panel’s.

Day-to-day work uses the device key. The device remembers which company it serves and does not need an administrator to sign in at every launch.

You generate the key in the panel: Settings → Front desk.

On a configured device, staff don’t type an email address. The kiosk shows a list of the people working at that company — you pick yourself and confirm with a one-time code.

The people who sign in most often can be pinned as shortcuts, so opening up in the morning is a single tap.

The kiosk signs itself out after a period of inactivity. This is not an annoyance to be switched off — client data is visible on the front desk screen, and the device stands where anyone can walk up to it.

The kiosk works in Polish and English, following the device’s system language. The translation covers the whole interface, including error messages and printouts.

You configure the printer in the kiosk settings — see Selling with a receipt.
